NAYAN PATEL M.M.E., Exec. Director, Patel Extrusion Group

Nayan Patel had his early education in Mumbai, and higher studies in engineering, in West Germany.He graduated in Mechanical Engineering from Fachhochschule, Konstanz, West Germany and then had practical training in the field of Impact Extrusion Technology and Machinery with several reputed companies in Germany. He has successfully pioneered manufacturing of Slip Rings & various components for Wind Generators.

Nayan heads the manufacturing operations of the entire Patel Extrusion Group. His greatest contribution in the field of technology is designing and manufacturing computer controlled fully automatic lines for collapsible tubes. He has successfully marketed this development within India and overseas including the Soviet Union and Japan. His innovative effort in this direction has placed our country on the world map in this highly specialised branch of technology. He was President of Bombay Industries Association, which helps solve problems of new entrepreneurs and others in industry, also the President of Aerosols Promotion Council of India and of the Pharmaceutical & Allied Manufacturers & Distributors Association Limited (PAMDAL). He devotes much of his time in the activities of Indian Merchants Chamber and is the chairman of the Industry committee. He is also the Vice-Chairman of the Priyadarshni Academy which is a social, cultural, educational & voluntary organisation. He is a member of the Board of Advisors - Bank Of Oman International.
